Camille Werther is a writer, editor, artist, and photographer. She has a Master of Science degree in horticulture, and experience with public speaking, editing, and writing (for online publications, magazines, newspapers, and professional journals). In addition, she teaches botanical art and shows her artwork and illustrations in group and solo shows.
She is currently editor of the newsletter for the GardenSMART television show on PBS. She has worked as an Extension county horticulture agent, garden columnist, landscape designer and contractor, retail horticulturist, outdoor learning educator, and science illustrator. She was the Production Editor for the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators' Journal of Natural Science Illustration for five years, and recipient of the GNSI Special Projects Award for this work.
She started her company, Camille Werther Consulting, LLC, in Sarpy County, Nebraska, to bring the benefits and joy of working with plants and flowers to as many people as possible.
She is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators and GardenComm (Garden Communicators International).
When not in the garden, she enjoys playing music on the mountain dulcimer and Irish harp and cooking the New Orleans cuisine of her childhood.
